Taking Advantage of New York: 5 of the Most Voted for Things You Can Do

If you’re planning a trip to New York, there’s no doubt that you’ll want to see all the most popular attractions and all the things that people all over the world go crazy about. For many foreigners, a trip to New York really is the chance of a lifetime, so in order to make the most of it, plan carefully before you travel so that you don’t waste any time once you get there. If you’re travelling with other people, make sure you can come up with a plan that works for everybody – for example, if you want to do something but everybody else would rather try, try to compromise. Here are some of the best spots to visit when you get to New York.

The Statue of Liberty

It’s almost impossible to miss the Statue of Liberty, so you’re bound to see it anyway at some point, possibly when you’re flying into the city. However, if you want to go and have a good look and take some pictures to show off once you get home, plan a visit to see this famous statue. Somewhere like this is always busy so make sure you go early & plan for queuing time in your day.

Central Park

Central Park is one of the most famous parks in the world, so if you’re hanging around New York on your travels, you have to pay a visit to this park. See what it has to offer and even spend a day there. It’s a cheap way to enjoy the New York scenery, especially if the weather is good.

Times Square

If you’re into shopping and sightseeing at the same time, then Times Square is an absolute must. Make sure you bring some extra cash for taking home some souvenirs; however, even if you don’t plan on spending much, you can still have a good time here.  If you’re going over the festive season then Times Square is even more impressive with its amazing display of Christmas lights and decorations.

Theatres

Theatres are a must-see if you visit New York, and you can go and see one of the great Broadway classics if they’re on when you go. Research before you travel to see what’s on during your stay.

Empire State Building

Another famous building in New York, you’ll be able to show off to all your friends and family by telling them you’ve visited the Empire State Building during your holiday. If you go to the top, you can view the entire city in all its splendour. Book into one of the Venere hotels nearby so you can make the most of your time in the big apple. There are cheaper hotels a little further out but these are rarely worth it when you factor in extra travel time and taxi fares. Where possible stay as central in New York as you can.
