Cala Llenya, Ibiza

Cala Llenya in Ibiza is a great beach suitable for families, believe it or not. Ibiza is probably the party capital of the world, so many probably wouldn’t believe that one of Spains best family beaches resides there. This beach is large and sandy, with safe waters and rocky areas perfect for snorkeling and swimming. Pine woods surround the beach, and there are plenty of nice walks to be had with the family. On Sunday afternoons you’ll notice the smell of fresh fish in the air, because the locals enjoy grilling it under the pine trees. There are a number of beach bars for you to eat at, and you can hire a pedalo if you fancy a pedal on the cool water.

Es Trenc, Mallorca

Es Trenc is the perfect beach for somebody who wants big waves. Windsurfers love this beach as it gets the most breeze in Mallorca. There are beach bars where you can have food and drink and even hire a beach umbrella to keep you sheltered from the sun.

Playa De Mazagon, Huelva

If you love the sun and want to get a gorgeous brown town, this is the beach you want. It gets around 3000 hours of scorching sunshine per year – perfect for sun worshippers. Backed on to this beach are pine trees and cliffs, giving it a stunning backdrop. On one section there’s even a nudist section, so if you’re into that then go along and join in.

Benicassim, Costa Azahar

Benicassim is Spains top music beach, host to the yearly Benicassim festival. This year they had acts on like Beady Eye, Queens of the Stone Age, The Arctic Monkeys, Wretch 32 and loads more. Not only perfect for music fans, this beach is perfect for a dip in the mediterranean sea at any time.

Torremolinos, Costa Del Sol

In the 80’s, this beach was a big family favourite and was one of the very first Spanish beaches to be included in package holidays. Now this beach is back in fashion because of a big attempt to make the promenade as beautiful as it once was with lots of lovely trees and gardens.

La Concha, San Sebastian

Some people call this beach the best city beach in the country and one of the best urban beaches in all of Europe. The beach is close to lots of trendy bars for you to enjoy an afternoon cocktail or two and is even close to designer clothes stores.
