Romantic Ideas and Things to Do in the UK

Romance is the key to vitality within a relationship; it’s the glue that holds the relationship together, the stuff in the middle that makes the sandwich taste good, which means that its vital you don’t let that die! Romance often costs money though! If you’re prepared to spend that cash on the one you love, I would like to run through a few ways I feel you can keep that spark alight. Romance is that special feeling, lets make sure we don’t lose that.

Visiting a seaside resort

Visiting a seaside resort could be the answer. You don’t have to fly halfway around the world to experience the sea as the UK is full of beautiful seaside resorts! Scarborough is a lovely place to stay! There are many wonderful hotels that you could relax in, so why not look for a Spa hotel or hotels in Scarborough with swimming pools, to ensure you let all the stresses of modern day life leave your body.

Going out for dinner

Going out to dinner can be a great way for couples to connect. Whilst enjoying a bottle of wine and some delicious food, you can share thoughts, feelings and future plans. It’s a good idea to go to a restaurant that serves food you don’t usually eat; you don’t want to be comparing the prices with how much you could have cooked it for at home! The UK offers some great restaurants with foods from all around the world. If you research online, you can find Michelin star restaurants near to you, to make that meal extra special.

London

London is the capital city of England and has many things to do as a couple! Whether you decide to go for a ride on the London Eye together or visit Buckingham palace, there are many memories to create in London and memories that will last a lifetime. You could visit the theatre, art galleries, go shopping or a music concert; pick something your other half enjoys and surprise them with how well you know them!

The Lakes

If seaside towns are a bit out of your travelling distance, the Lakes are a perfect alternative! The Lake District is about 34 miles across (north-to-south or west-to-east). It is entirely within the region of Cumbria, and is one of England’s few mountainous regions which makes it so beautiful. There are many different types of accommodation in the Lakes; log cabins, hotels, Bed & Breakfasts, the list is endless. Why not book a log cabin with a hot tub so you can sit amongst the stars in luxury? Its a great idea to explore the countryside by walking hand in hand around the lakes. Remember to take suitable footwear and clothing!

Romance is the key to a successful relationship. Travelling the UK and visiting the wonderful places on our doorstep, is an ideal way to be romantic but without spending the hundreds of pounds it would to go abroad. Go and see the wonders of this beautiful country and create memories together. Have fun!
