Iconic Bands that have performed in Wembley Stadium

The world famous Wembley Stadium traditionally played host to major football matches until the August of 1972. No man has ever performed seven concerts, of which five in a row were hosted at this stadium. This was a feat only Michael Jackson was capable of achieving and to such great success.

Pink Floyd

During August 1988, the classic psychedelic rock band, Pink Floyd, played their genre of surreal music for two whole nights. Close to 80,000 fans were left mesmerized by the deep booms and thunder like echo of Shine on you Crazy Diamond. The band covered most of the tracks from their successful album, A Momentary Lapse in Reason, in which the high bass notes and earthly sound that the band has been famous for were showcased like never before. The privileged fans are among the few in the world who got a chance to see the ‘mighty’ band perform live. Also, the famous laser light techniques that the band incorporated in their live acts were became the highlight of the concerts. Towards the end of the act, the band finished with a number of their classic tracks that are as loved as as much by today’s fans, such as Wish you Were Here, Time, Money, The Great Gig in the Sky, Welcome to the Machine and, of course, Comfortably Numb.
