General Route Description
A look at the map shows the location of Hotel Restaurant Corys near the boundary between Tuscany and Umbria. There are excellent road links to the Tuscan cities of Arezzo (28km), Siena (78km) and Florence (90km); and the wine lands of Chianti, Montepulciano and Montalcino. The Umbrian capital of Perugia (55km) is a 'must see' and Lake Trasimeno, just inside Umbria a short distance to the south, offers boating, fishing and water sports. If you want to avoid the roads, there is a railway station just 5km away.
Cortona is in province of Arezzo, right in the middle of Central Italy. It can be reached swiftly and easily, being served by the Autostrada del Sole A1 -Valdichiana exit-, state motorway S.S. 75 to Perugia, exit direction Cortona, or exit to Castiglione del Lago, at stop turn at your right and take S.S. 71, after Terontola, Riccio and Camucia, at 2nd traffic-lights turn at your right direction Cortona, skirt the external walls and follow the sign for Corys.
