General Route Description
Directions from Malaga Airport to Canillas de Albaida: 1 hours drive from Malaga Airport. 30 mins by Motorway & then 30 mins Inland
From Airport follow signs for Malaga N340, i.e. straight on and not right for Torremolinos
Join the N340 dual cartridge-way towards Malaga for approx 2.5 kms. Keep towards the RHS lane - but be careful not to take the first right. Shortly after this turning you will see the main Motorway (Autovia) A7/E15 sign towards Motril & Almeria. Take this right and stay on the A7/E15 motorway towards Almeria for 47 kms (approx 30 mins)
Exit Junction 277 Algarrobo and take MA111 inland towards Competa & Canillas de Albaida
You will pass through the villages of Algarrobo (2 kms), Sayalonga (8 kms), Competa (16 kms) and then into the village of Canillas de Albaida (19 kms).
On entering the village you will approach a small mini roundabout, you can either park in the car park area on the opposite side of the roundabout or turn left at the roundabout and park near the Unicaja Bank & Shops.
Follow the yellow 'Posada La Plaza' signs (approx 100m) into the main ‘La Plaza’ village square.
