| Shangrila is accessible by road as well as air with PIA s Boeing 737 aircraft.The air journey which is about 45 minutes from take off offers a spectacular aerial view of some of the worlds highest peaks including five of the worlds five 8000 meter peaks which are in the northern areas of Pakistan including K-2 the second highest peak in the world.The Karakoram Highway has been described as the Eighth wonder of the world and a true marvel of engineering.It takes 20 hours by road from Islamabad the capital of Pakistan.We have special luxury coaches with a night stop at one of our other resort enroute.Special road packages have been made for your comfort.Chartered helicopter service can be arranged for Helicopter Safaris.Flying over the Deosai Plains " The Longest,widest and the highest plateau in the World ." Sight seeing trips can be arranged from Shangrila Resort flying over Baltoro Glacier and spend a few hours at Concordia where three mighty glaciers meet and at a distance stands magnificent K-2 the second highest peak in the World.These safaris will be available on demand and can be tailor made to suit your requirements. |
