The Hotel Casa Capitel is an ancient Renaissance palace built in 1503 and located in the picturesque area of the Albaicin, in front of the Alhambra in Granada and in the city centre, close to the cathedral. It is a palace with lintels and Tuscan columns, Corinth capitals, Arabic chromium-plated beams; Renaissance decorated wooden ceiling and two Roman columns.
Among all the artistic whole stands out an exquisite Nazari capital carved in alabaster, what makes it a piece unique in the world.
Wooden beams original from the XVIth century are leaned on the artistic whole. These beams support the first and second floor of the building. From the main bright courtyard one can have access to all rooms and the balconies.
The renovation of the hotel has been carried out looking for the original materials to preserve the atmosphere of the XVIth century.

UNESCO declared this area World heritage Site, so the traffic is restricted. If you come by car the best is leaving it in parking.
However, we have an agreement with two public parking that has a special rate for our guests (13, 00 Euros/24 hours). You pay the parking in the hotel and we give you tickets when you need the car. We can not book a car park space because is a public parking.
These parking are Parking Plaza Puerta Real (Acera del casino Street) and Parking Triunfo (Avenida de la Constitucion Street, in front of the Jardines del Triunfo). We recommend you the first one because is the nearest parking. To go to the parking Plaza Puerta Real, take the main road in Granada "Circunvalacion" (Road N-323) and then, the exit number 131 (Armilla exit), direction to Congress Palace on Armilla’s Road. Go straight on Paseo del Violon Street, then cross the Puente Blanco (White Bridge) and you will be in Acera del Darro Street where you will see on the right a big shopping centre called EL CORTE INGLES. Just pass by it and you will see the parking. (For further indications you can follow indications on the Carmen Hotel, this Hotel is front of our concerted parking).please, pay attention to this, because on the left there is another parking called Parking Puerta Real. This is a wrong parking. Our parking is Plaza Puerta Real. Please,take a taxi from the parking to the hotel. If you ask the cabin driver for the bill we will discount this amount of money from your parking bill.We can only discount one way taxi, from the right parking to the hotel. If this parking is full, you can wait and if not, call to the Hotel and we will give you indications about other parking.
