Away from the crowded tourism, the Pinos Playa is located in the south-east of Mallorca, in a cove with turquoise waters and a fine sandy beach, part of the Migjorn protected marine reserve and only 4 km from the Mondragó nature reserve.

Cala Santanyí is located in the south-east of the island some 45 km. from the airport and some 55 km. from Palma, in an area unspoilt by mass tourism. It is a peaceful area, with very natural surroundings and has lovely scenery. It is part of the Municipality of Santanyí, which is some 4 km away. Close by, going down the coast in a western direction is Cala Llombards, followed by Cala S\'Almonia and es Caló d\'es Moro (a very beautiful place) in the heart of the countryside, bordering es Rafal and S\'Avall in a protected nature reserve. Only 3 km. to the east is the very picturesque fishing port of Cala Figuera and the Cala Mondragó Nature Reserve.
There are some very interesting spots in Cala Santanyí. In the bay itself is a slipway with fishermen\'s boathouses. There is a beautiful underwater cave that is a must for qualified divers (those without experience can gain it at the PADI diving centre located at the water\'s edge). On the other side again is an ancient half-ruined watchtower. However, there is no doubt that the most famous landmark in Cala Santanyí is \"Es Pontás\", a stone arch in the sea carved out by the force of the elements.

| Route Description: |
From the Airport Son Sant Joan of Palma you take the highway PM- 19 direction to Santanyi.
From there you take the highroad to Cala Figuera. After about 1 km you find a roundabout
where you should turn right and drive straight ahead until you find a round well. There you turn right and drive straight ahead about 500 meters. The hotel is located on the left side of
the street.
The airport is about 45 km from Cala Santanyi.
If you do not have rented a car we suggest you to take a Taxi at the airport.
There is a bus from the airport to Palma centre (Plaza de España). There you can take another bus at the bus station, which is located on the Eusebio Estada Street. The only bus which arrives to Cala Santanyi departs at about 17:00. |
