THE XARA PALACE RELAIS & CHATEAUX is a fabulous late 17th century property uniquely located within the historic, noble and silent city of Mdina, the old capital city of Malta. The hotel building forms part of the medieval bastions that surround Mdina.

Location and Directions
Mdina: is situated centrally on the island and thus can be reached fairly easily by all local means of transport. Once reaching Rabat, the suburb, going around in Mdina is best done by foot to experience the architecture of the so-called Silent City.
General Directions
Malta International Airport is 8 Km from the hotel and a limousine service is bookable from the hotel for airport transfers.
Parking:
Large car parks outside the three gates of Mdina accommodate daily a great number of cars.

Mdina can also be reached by bus taking one of the following routes:

Festive Season Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited size of our hotel, cancellations affect us significantly. A last-minute cancellation leaves us little chance of filling the reserved space. For these reasons, we uphold a strict cancellation policy.
May we inform you that as this is the Festive Season, we shall not accept cancellations for reservations at the hotel between the 20th December and the 3rd January after the 30th November and should your reservation be cancelled full payment MUST be forthcoming.
If reservation is cancelled between 7 and 3 days before date of arrival there will be a full night’s charge.
If reservation is cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival a minimum of two nights stay will be charged.
If reservation is cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival the full amount of stay will be charged.

May we inform you that during the Easter Period, cancellation of accommodation bookings, between the 10th and the 22nd April 2006, are not accepted unless the cancellation is made prior to the 26th March 2006. Should cancellation be made after this date, full payment must be forthcoming.
