An old, yet beautiful building built in the end of the 19th century, along with a big appetite for communication and hospitality, were the reasons for creating our hostel.
Having undergone major reconstruction, to transform it into a leisurely and relaxing environment, but with respect to the historic value of the old mansion, so as not to denature its character, color and prestige, our vision for a place of hospitality and friendliness was realized.
Reconstruction of the mansion's surroundings, like the traditional main entrance, the stone fount and the surrounding stone wall, were made in accordance with the area's graphical character so as to affiliate the building with the history of the region.
While trying to maintain the building's basic structure and creating a high-ceiling attic, eight completely different rooms were created. To do so, a variety of different colors was carefully selected, so as to make each room unique, with its own style and personality.
The dominant main stair remained and a finely crafted half-pace was constructed. The old storehouse was reconstructed and turned into the living-dining room and the lobby. The big main fireplace burns throughout the entire winter, creating an ideal place for gathering and playing board games, chatting and drinking some of the local fine wines.
We have gathered plants and flowers from the mountain to create eight special rooms, each of which was colored and named after the flower it represents.
On the right and left side of the ground floor's main corridor there are two rooms of 4 beds each. Mimosa and Iris. Both of them have a fireplace, refrigerator and are ideal for quaternary families. Climbing up the main stairs we reach the first floor where we find Daphne and Helianthus on the right side, while on the left is Myrtle, the big single room, and Anemone, a three bedded room with a nice view over the plains.
In the attic, the feeling is a bit different, due to the dominant presence of the wooden rooftop, with the sloped skylights through which you can see even from the bed, the mountain during all seasons. There we find two luxurious and spacey suites. Blue Jasmine on the right, which can host up to five persons, and Cyclamen on the left, a cozy room with three beds.
A great idea for after a fun, but tiring day on the ski slopes is to spend some enjoyable time in the sauna, which is open all day, in the building's small basement.

On the northeastern slopes of the mountain Parnassos, 165 km from Athens and 49 km from Lamia, lies the town of Amfiklia or "Dadi" from where comes the name of our hostel "DADI MANSION OF PARNASSOS".
Amfiklia is the biggest town in the area, has all the services available and is the capital of the homonymous Municipality. It is in the prefecture of Fthiotida, on the boundaries of Fokidos and Voiotia prefectures. It is 17 km away from Parnassos Ski Center and is very close to many beautiful locations, the National Forest of Parnassos and Oiti, as well as many monasteries, archaeological sites, and other beautiful villages like Polydrosos (or Souvala), Eptalofos (or Agoriani), etc.
The village is characterized by its beautiful stone mansions, the nice doorways, stone walls, narrow roads, the view to the lowlands, which is why the community is considered to be "traditional".
It's always thrilling to have so many options when it comes to enjoying nature and playing sports in such a short distance from our Mansion.
Come, and we will suggest special trips with various routes and paths through the Forests of Parnassos and Oiti, both doable by car or on foot.
For more sporting guests, we can suggest a series of sports like: skiing, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, paragliding, horse-riding, mountain-climbing, mountain biking, etc. The maitre d'hotel will provide you with all the relevant information upon request, but we can also organize group activities for groups of at least six people, with an expert guide-leader from the special office we cooperate with (www.miliascamps.gr) and contribute to your unforgettable, unique experiences from your time with us.
If you wish to go out, a series of traditional "tavernas" in the surrounding villages await you with excellent food and wine. Souvala, Eptalofos, Gravia, Variani, Paleochori, Tithorea are some of them. |
