Situated in the Greater Addo Elephant National Park, and lying on the shores of the Park’s Darlington Lake is the intimate Darlington Lake Lodge. With just five en-suite rooms, and seven en-suite tents, the lodge is a luxurious retreat in the heart of the Eastern Cape. Decorated in a contemporary African Colonial style, the lodge possesses the warmth and repose of home. Refurbished only two years ago, the lodge also incorporates conference facilities accommodating up to 30 people.

Summer - the temperature varies from 10 degrees at night to 35 degrees C in the heat of the day etc
Winter - the temperature varies from night to day. Daytime temperatures are mild normally about 20 degrees C. Nighttime temperatures are considerably colder dropping to below 0 degrees C. Temperatures drop dramatically just after sunset.
What to Take:
December to March, Summer Clothes. A warm jacket or jersey for the cooler mornings and evenings.
April to November, winter clothes. A very warm insulated Jacket for the cold morning and nights. Hats, scarf and gloves are recommended.
Comfortable walking shoes track shoes or boots are useful for the bush walks. Sandals are useful for walking around the lodge. Shorts and t-shirt needed all year round for the warm midday period.
Swimming costume, sunblock, insect repellent, sun hat, sunglasses and lip balm are recommended.

How to Get There:
By Air: Port Elisabeth Domestic Airport
Airstrip on one of the farms approximately 20 km from the lodge
By Road: From Port Elisabeth follows the N2 North until the Cloverleaf intersection. Now follow the N10 towards Cradock. After approximately 32 Km take the Ann’s Villa R400 to the left, for approximately 76 km of gravel road until you get to the Addo/Darlington Lake Lodge entrance gate. The last 10 km is clearly sign-posted to the lodge.

Payment Details:
Full prepayment or payment of any outstanding balances for groups or FIT’s has to be settled as specified on the invoice prior to arrival. The invoice number must be stated on any payment transaction and the deposit slip must be received timeously. For any late payments the tour operator risks that their guests are charged rack rate.
Corporate Clients or Travel Agents requiring credit facilities will be required to complete a Three Cities Credit application for each Unit. Where credit facilities are granted credit limits will be set and must be maintained. Deposit requirements will however remain as a condition for group bookings. Foreign currencies will be accepted at the rate of exchange valid on the day payments are received. All accounts must be paid 30 Days from invoice directly to the hotel concerned
