The Villa Giulia is set in a lush Mediterranean park of maritime pines, cypresses, oaks, beeches, palm trees, oleander and agaves, as well as a very rare outcrop of bamboo and an infinite variety of flowers including water lilies floating in an ancient stone basin. Although it is called a villa, this spacious country residence is more like the equivalent in the Italian Marches of an English stately home with its tower and chapel and long wide terrace looking towards the sea three kilometres away.
Guests have the run of the whole house, the frescoed salons and terraces and the gardens of which there are three, while a path through the olive grove leads to the swimming pool. The frescoes of the bedrooms have all been expertly restored or executed by your hostess, the charming and enterprising Countess Passi whose family have owned this magnificent summer home for generations and who now lives here all year round. The villa is furnished with family antiques and the fabrics are Spanish and French in yellows, pinks and greens. Breakfasts are served in the garden during the warmer months or in the villa dining room.
The apartments are located in the newly restored farmhouses that overlook the sea and the swimming pool from the top of the ancient vineyard.
They are fascinating and each of them has something of particular: the Forno apartment for exemple is located on the ground floor and has a wide double bedroom with an incredible bathroom where the sink and the tub are made with the ancient wine barrels and the water of the tub comes out from a beautiful cupper pitcher, another nice double/twin bedroom with its nice private bathroom and a large livingroom with fireplace and kitchen.
Another jewel is the Casa Piccola, a nice individual farmhouse for 4/6 guest, that has a livingroom with fireplace, a bathroom and a large kitchen at the ground floor. A charming spiral staircase made by a pine of the Villa Giulia’s wood joins the ground floor with the first floor, where are located two double bedrooms and a beautiful bathroom.

Villa Giulia is a starting point for sightseeing to the most impotrant cities of art of the Marches and Umbria regions. Fano, Pesaro and Urbino are all a short drive away, the wide Adriatic sandy beaches are at less that 1 mile and the surrounding countryside is studded with little medieval walled villages and trattorias serving excellent local cuisine, both with sea food and the more robust meat dishes of the region.

| The nearest railway station is Fano at 3 km, while the airport is at Ancona, 25 miles away, Rimini 25 km or Forlì 30 miles away. By car take the A14 autostrada and exit at Fano. Drive towards Fano. From the town centre take the SS16 Adriatica towards Pesaro and drive on straight for 1 and a half mile until on the left you will see on the right an AGIP gasoline station and on the left via di Villa San Biagio and the signs for Villa Giulia.
