General
Our house existed as a B+B since 1975; in summer 2002 it has been expanded and brought up to latest standards. It re-opened in the winter season 2002/03 as Apparthotel Winklwiese. Our spacious and comfortable apartments can accommodate up to 42 persons. The apparthotel is situated in a quiet and sunny location on the outskirts of the village of Oberolang and overlooks the wide basin of Olang. You can reach the centre of Oberolang with its restaurants, pizzerias, the self-service-market, the public service bus station and the church on foot within 5 minutes.
In our house we pamper you with a cosy little house-bar, a spacious wellness area with whirlpool, Finnish and Turkish sauna, Kneipp-shower, solarium, fitness room, room for table tennis; a Tyrolean “stube” (living room), a terrace and a big garden at the outside. From the light, cheerful breakfast room you can directly watch the children’s playing room. At your disposal there are also a lift, a big ski depot with an area to dry your shoes, a mountain-bike depot, a washroom with washing machine and automatic dryer, as well as parking lots in the garage (for an extra charge). Dogs are welcome for an extra charge of 4-5 Euro per day.
All apartments are for 2–8 persons 23m² to 68m², they have radio, safe, TV, phone, Internet connection, bed linen, kitchenware and a coffee machine. We make the cleaning of the apartments on two days of the week.
Winter
In winter the skiing area Kronplatz/Plan de Corones offers more than 85 km of perfectly kept slopes and 30 modern lifts which lead you to ski-runs for beginners and experts. The ski shuttle bus is for free and stops at 20 m from the house. It takes you to the newest, fastest and most comfortable skiing area of Italy (2 km away). At 500 m there is a 1000 m long ski-tow for children and beginners.
For those who love the cross-country skiing there are 40 km of runs which pass in front of the house.
The season is from the end of november to april.
Summer
In summer you can reach the beautiful hiking region of the Dolomites from our house on foot where you can choose among easy and demanding tours.
For passionate cyclists/mountain-bikers our region offers easy and more difficult routes which also pass in front of the house and lead you until Lienz in the East or until Brixen in the West.
The summer season is from mai to october.
