Ghent-River-Hotel
The hotel is situated in the city centre on the right bank of the Leie which beaconed the Ghent boarder between the 11th and 15th Century.
Thanks to the ancient pier, Ghent-River-Hotel is the only hotel that can be reached by boat!
The hotel consists of a Renaissance house of 1518 and an old factory of 1857. Both buildings are connected with a very modern part.
The hotel has 77 very charming and warmly decorated rooms, of which 3 junior suites. Each room has television, telephone, mini-bar, safe, air conditioning and internet connection. Also, each room has its own bathroom with a bath and shower , a steam shower or a regular shower and hairdryer.
The breakfast room is situated on the 3rd floor of the hotel, with a magnificent view on the Skyline of Ghent. We serve an elaborated breakfast buffet from 7am until 10am during the week and until 11am during the weekend.
In the cosy lounge of the hotel you can enjoy a Belgian beer or another drink!
The meeting rooms “Artevelde” and “Anseele” are the ideal places to organise meetings up to 50 persons. The medieval cellar is the perfect spot for a cocktail, private dinner or product presentation.
Sauna and fitness give you the opportunity to relax or to improve your condition.

Route description
The site of the Ghent River Hotel is perfect, in the centre of the city, at 50 metres from the Vrijdagsmarkt.
The hotel is easily accessible:
From the motorway:
You follow the direction Centre to “Zuid”
You turn right into Zuidstationstraat en you drive through to St. Annaplein
At the roundabout you take the 4th street on your right (Keize Karelstraat)
You drive through (along St. Jacobsnieuwstraat en the Vlasmarkt) to St. Jacob church (roundabout)
At the roundabout you take the 3rd street on your right (Ottogracht)
At the end of Ottogracht, before the bridge, you turn left into the Speldenstraat (3rd street on the left)
A bit further on the right you will find the Ghent River Hotel, in the Waaistraat 5
From St. Pietersstation:
At the Maria Hendrika place you turn into the Koningin Elisabethlaan (sloping right)
You will come at the Kortrijksesteenweg. You follow this road until it becomes Nederkouter
At the ende of Nederkouter you are obliged to turn right, into Kouter
After that you drive through and you follow the yellow parkingrout via Brabantdam to St. Annaplein.
